First and foremost I purchase a ton of audio gear! Probably more than most reviewers. I would love to start reviewing. I’m an amplifier addict!!!! I love music! I love gear! I bought the Nobsound NS-02G Pro with reasonable expectations, but this little amp has completely blown those expectations apart. I’ve owned and listened to a lot of amplification over the years—solid state, Class A, tubes, and gear costing many multiples of what this Nobsound costs—and I keep coming back to the same thought: this amp is ridiculously good.

I’ve paired it with my Tekton Enzo XLs, MoFi SourcePoint 10s, and Polk R200s, which are three very different speakers, and the Nobsound has impressed me with every one of them. With the highly efficient Tektons, it sounds fast, huge, dynamic and incredibly alive. Bass has real punch and authority, vocals have body, and guitars and drums jump out of the speakers. The Enzo XLs can expose an amplifier pretty quickly, and instead of sounding thin or clinical, the Nobsound gives them the kind of weight and energy that makes me want to keep turning albums up.

The SourcePoint 10 pairing might be even more surprising. Those big 10-inch concentric drivers really show off the amp’s control and immediacy. There’s excellent attack, a big soundstage, strong center imaging and that addictive sense of musicians actually occupying space in front of you. Then I hooked up the Polk R200s, and once again the little Nobsound simply delivered. The R200s sound full, smooth and punchy, with far more scale than you’d expect looking at the amplifier driving them.

What really gets me is that it doesn’t sound like some inexpensive amp that I’m enjoying because it’s good for the money. I genuinely love the way this thing sounds, period. It’s lively without becoming obnoxiously bright, detailed without stripping the music of body, and powerful enough to give rock, metal, fusion and anything with a strong rhythm section the impact it deserves.

And the construction is part of the fun. Pop the cover and there’s a big toroidal transformer, substantial power-supply capacitance, discrete output devices mounted to enormous external heatsinks, separate left/right amplifier sections and a refreshingly straightforward layout. It’s the kind of old-school, overbuilt-looking amplifier that immediately makes you want to experiment with it.

I’ve had some seriously expensive equipment in my system, and that’s exactly why this Nobsound has surprised me so much. Price and enjoyment aren’t remotely the same thing. Sometimes a piece of gear just clicks with your speakers, your music and the way you like to listen.

For me, the NS-02G Pro is one of those pieces.
I absolutely LOVE this amp. It’s powerful, musical, fun as hell, and one of the biggest hi-fi surprises I’ve had in a long time. If someone dismissed it simply because of the Nobsound badge or its price, they’d be missing the point entirely.

Bought this amp on sale from Douk Audio's eBay store, and I could not be happier with the out-of-the-box sound. I have this paired with a Schiit Mimir DAC and Lokius 5-band EQ. I have a pair of Wharfedale Lintons and Elac DB63 connect through a Neohipo ET30 switchbox. The sound is sublime, very clear highs and midrange. Bass is well-defined as well. When I play my records through it I get a very pleasant, warm tone that isn't _too_ warm or rolled off. There's a definite improvement in sound when comparing against another Class D amp.

The amp does get warm, at roughly 115 F it's enough to warm the room in the summer. Living in the PNW, this is perfect for the winter months so no major complaints.

The NS-02G Pro amplifier despite being a class A design does not have a significant heat issue like my MF A1 clone and JLH 1969 class A amplifiers I also own. In terms of sound quality, I am quite pleased with the NS-02G Pro audio performance.

After seeing Ed's "Old Guy HiFi" review on YouTube I decided to give this a try instead of another miniature affordable Class D amp.

I wanted a different sound and have always liked Class A sound with its rich, velvety midrange, fine musical details, its predominance of second order harmonics, and its more "musical" presentation. This amp right out the box does all that to my surprise at this price! After a few hours of breaking in I was thoroughly enjoying the amp. I did change out the op-amps because I had some premium Sparkos on hand and absolutely love it.

This is setup in my garage with a Wiim Ultra connected to a Sony TV. I have these hooked up to a pair of home built ultra efficient speakers at 97db. I barely have this amp or integrated amp turned up and it gets plenty loud in a very large garage.

I highly recommend this amp for anyone loving Class A sound and using relatively efficient speakers.

It sounds great no issues out the box. I swapped the op amps in about 6 minutes with some that are my to go to for my musical taste and wow they sound even better in this amplifier. Don’t get me wrong the amplifier sounds amazing out the box but I like tweaking my components. Just perfect 🤩.
