Warm tips：
- The U2 PRO supports Windows 10/11, macOS, Android, and iOS. Windows 10 and above can run driver-free for PCM playback up to 384kHz, but higher sampling rate and DSD playback requires driver installation. macOS works driver-free. To avoid potential compatibility issues, it is not recommended to use Windows 7/8, or general-purpose Linux systems. Linux-based audio systems like Daphile, Volumio, and ROON are supported.
- The U2 PRO supports oscillator replacement (not pluggable, needs soldering). Default 24.000 MHz ±20 PPM 5032 active oscillator, can be replaced by DIP-4P rectangular plug-in active oscillators or 5030 SMD active oscillators.
- The U2 PRO only supports 2.0 channel stereo audio. Multichannel formats such as 5.1, 7.1, or Dolby formats are not supported.
- Please install the required driver and files by scanning the QR code on the U2 PRO or downloading from our official website, and follow the instructions or video guide to set up your player properly.

Q: I want to replace the crystal oscillator of the U2PRO myself. What conditions need to meet?
A: To replace the U2 PRO's oscillator, it needs to meet these specs:
24.000MHz/1.8-3.3V (active oscillator)
Can be SMD or through-hole (DIP)
SMD size: 5032 (need soldering)
DIP spec: DIP14
The smaller the frequency tolerance (+ppm), the better.
*We also tested fixed 3.3V oscillator, it can work normally as well. However, we can't guarantee that every voltage within the 3.3–5V range will work. Rest assured, an incompatible oscillator will not damage the U2 PRO, it may simply not function.

This is the best product i have put in the signal way for my desktop setup.
This DDC could potentially be one of the better units on the market, especially for the price, but one important sonic aspect holds it back and made me remove it from my system. The way it handles treble and high frequencies. If you're not sensitive to treble, then this unit might work for you.
The actual functionality is great and has been flawless. I used it with the USB-C port on my motherboard and was able to get audio without installing any drivers on my Win 10 machine. All of my listening was with Windows set to 16/44.1 and a mix of Qobuz 16/44.1 with some YouTube and Twitch for some everyday (lower quality) audio thrown in as well. Not that it matters, but for clarification, here is my equipment.

When I first listened to the U2 Pro (2025), I thought it sounded pretty clean and actually refined, but noticeably lean in the midbass and lower midrange. However, the longer I listened, I started noticing the upper frequencies were becoming very fatiguing and problematic. The treble seemed really delineated and sharp, but it also had this weird combination of smoothed over texture and overly airy sound with nasty edginess to everything.
It's sort of similar to applying a blur/smoothening filter, HDR effect, and then adding too much sharpening to an image in photo editing software. At first, it's impressive, but the more you look at it, the flaws stand out, and it looks very unnatural.
I gave it a few days to see if it would improve with time and I tried different cables, but the treble issues only became more noticeable and fatiguing. I could no longer listen to it and removed it from my system.
I can't deny the technical improvements that this unit had with my system; larger and deeper stage, stronger dynamics, sharper transient attack, and greater clarity. However, the overall sharp and clear++ sound signature it goes for falls into the too much of a good thing trap. I'm not sure if it's the stock clock or something else that's causing the issues I'm hearing, but I honestly can't recommend this product, due to the sound and lack of a return policy.
If I could return this unit, I absolutely would.
