FAQs
Q: What is the maximum output power supported by the VU3-PLUS?
A: Maximum pass-through power depends on the total load impedance: 200W at 2Ω, 500W at 4Ω, 700W at 6Ω, and 1000W at 8Ω. Do not exceed the corresponding power limit.
Q: Can I use both speaker pairs at the same time, and which impedance setting should I choose?
A: Yes. When both pairs are active, they are connected in parallel. Select the 2 / 4 / 6 / 8Ω setting closest to their combined impedance for accurate power readings, and make sure your amplifier supports the combined load. For example, 4Ω and 6Ω speakers combine to about 2.4Ω, so select 2Ω.
Q: Can both amplifiers operate at the same time?
A: No. Both can stay connected, but only one amplifier can be active at a time.
Q: Will the 0 / +20dB gain affect volume or sound?
A: No. It only changes how the VU meters display the signal and does not affect the sound.
Q: Why isn’t Trigger OUT activating my other device?
A: Trigger OUT only passes a control signal when Trigger IN receives a 5–15V trigger signal. It does not generate trigger voltage on its own.
Q: Can I turn off the VU meters and use VU3-PLUS only as a switcher?
A: Yes. The VU meters can be turned off completely while amplifier/speaker switching and signal routing remain active.
Q: What power supply should I use?
A: Use a standard USB-C 5V / ≥2A or higher power supply. Most USB adapters work normally, but some fast-charging supplies may not be recognized correctly.
Q: Are batteries included with the remote control?
A: For safer and faster delivery, batteries are not included. The remote requires 2 × AAA batteries, which need to be prepared separately.
