FAQs
Q: Which VU meter GAIN setting should I use?
A: If the input level is unknown, start at −20 dB. Maximum input: 24.5 Vrms at −20 dB, 7.75 Vrms at −10 dB, and 2.45 Vrms at 0 dB. Do not exceed the limit for the selected gain setting. GAIN only affects the VU meter range, not the audio level.
Q: Can multiple RCA channels operate at the same time?
A: In 1-IN-4-OUT mode, up to four RCA outputs can work at the same time. In 4-IN-1-OUT mode, multiple inputs can be selected, but using one at a time is recommended since there’s no separate volume control for each channel. Multiple outputs can only be selected simultaneously using the front-panel buttons.
Q: Can RCA and XLR work at the same time?
A: Yes. RCA and XLR operate independently and can be used simultaneously. XLR passes directly from IN to OUT, while the RCA/XLR selector only changes which signal the VU meters display.
Q: Why isn’t Trigger OUT activating my other device?
A: Trigger OUT only passes a control signal when Trigger IN receives a 5–15V trigger signal. It does not generate trigger voltage on its own.
Q: Can I turn off the VU meters without affecting audio operation?
A: Yes. Set the VU Meter GAIN selector to OFF; the meters and backlight will turn off, while RCA switching and XLR pass-through continue to work normally.
Q: What type of power supply should I use?
A: Use a standard DC 5 V / ≥2 A USB power supply. Most fast-charging power supplies will work, but some may not be recognized correctly.
Q: Are batteries included with the remote control?
A: For safer and faster delivery, batteries are not included. The remote requires 2 × AAA batteries, which need to be prepared separately.
