To my ears, the sound is very good. I'm using this with a MM compatible vintage B&O Beogram. The problem is that the volume POT is extremely scratchy such that you can't use this as your main volume pot. If this is meant to just be left alone, maybe that's Ok but in my setup, this is my only volume adjustment as my power amp doesn't have one. I don't remember if this was always there, but I've only owned this for ~9 months and it's very scratchy now such that I will need to replace it. Also, the tubes have LEDs in the sockets which I didn't realize at first - the glow isn't (exclusively) from the tubes - they are aided by LEDs which seems a bit silly to me (although I know other amp and preamp makers do the same now...)
It works well so far. While this doesn’t have Bluetooth connectivity, it was easy to setup for my record player setup. No remote control was included as it doesn’t need one. Powerful !
I really wanted this preamp to work so much so that I purchased 2 times. It has all the load settings that I could ever need for moving coil cartridges but doesn't sound good to me. I tried playing some records with this and they sounded like crap. The music sounded really bad to me and wasn't enjoyable. I replaced this preamp with my mani 2 and the music sounded good again. I didn't try the moving magnet setting. I have a lot of nice sounding preamps but this just wasn't one of them. I have a yaqin ms-12b chinese tube preamp and it sounds really good though it was much more expensive. Just do your research before buying a preamp because there are a lot of good ones.
Great sound for the price. Tube preamp "warms up" the sound for vintage or modern solid state amps/receivers. The tube upgrade package is well worth it. The headphone stage and VU meter don't really work but the overall quality offsets these limitations.

Outstanding little 2 tube preamplifier! Works fantastic with my Technics 1200, and Marantz 300DC power amp! Great bang for your buck. Was skeptical because of Chi-Fi audio equipment, but this works pretty dam good. Very happy so far.
