Q: What amplifier should I use with S4?
A: Use a stereo amplifier that supports 4Ω passive speakers. For power matching, refer to the amplifier’s RMS/continuous output at 4Ω. S4 is rated at 50W AES / 100W Max. Start at low volume and avoid audible distortion.
Q: When should I remove the jumper plates?
A: Keep the jumper plates installed for standard single-wire connection. Remove them only for bi-wire or bi-amp setups, then connect the HF and LF terminals separately. Do not use bi-amp wiring with the jumper plates installed.
Q: What should I check if the sound is too quiet or distorted?
A: Check the source volume, amplifier settings, speaker cable contact, jumper plates, and +/- polarity. Make sure the amplifier supports 4Ω speakers. If you hear distortion, lower the volume and check the input signal or wiring before playing louder.
