I took 2 stars off because of the advertising saying this is a 300w x 2 amp.Also there was no remote control included as it was advertised.The included power supply can only supply 150 watts total, and no amp is 100% efficient.This is realistically about 60-70w x 2 into 4 ohms.Also I upgraded the power supply to a 48v 400 watt model and there was no audible difference, so don't bother with that.The bluetooth pairing and connectivity was fine, as was the line in.This review is for the PLUS version (without tubes), not the PRO version (with tubes). The reviews seem to be getting lumped together so I wanted to distinguish it.

I hook up this amplifier (or receiver) to my passive 5 inch bookshelf speakers. My bookshelf speakers were powered active speakers but a month ago, they suddenly died on me so I converted them to passive speakers.I didn't expect much from the small, tiny amplifier, and I wanted to use my current speakers.Once it turned on, i was surprised by the power and the sound. I know I have decent speakers, but they sound better now than they did before. Not only that, the lighted VU meter with the lighted vacuum tubes look so cute and reminds me of the steam funk look. I'm not sure how long the vacuum tubes would last but I am liking this little thing!

This small tube amp is about the size of the palm of my hand. It utilizes two vintage tubes which are placed in the sockets on the top. The amp connected easily to my phone through bluetooth, and sounded good. The bluetooth has a nice range. The volume control does not have any numbers on in it or stop point so you just have to get the feel of it. I have two receivers that were purchased long ago and they sound better than this however for the size of this unit it sounds fantastic. I think its great for a small space. Hook it up to small speakers and its perfect, play anything on your phone. If you are having a party outside this is perfect because of its size. On the back there are speaker connections, and line in so you can plug in a tape player or whatever you'd like, and a power input which is supplied as well as a remote control. Very interesting. I bought it more out of curiosity but I will find a use for it

This thing is small, even fitting in my palm. This thing is loud, even with just a pair of MA Radius 45 cubes. This thing is warm, truly reminding me of the tube sound stage with a pair of NOS JAN 5725.Be aware this amp is actually only a tube preamp plus a solid state chip for real power output. So the power does not necessarily comes from the tubes, but they provide the characteristics open warm tube sound, especially with upgraded tubes. My testing source mainly uses the Hiby Pro 3 Saber mp3 player with line output, and it is so loud that I have to turn it down to lowest possible volume click (one thing I don’t feel warm about the amp is the click volume knob!) in my office. It is easy to do on the remote. Changing to laptop headphone/line out port brought the sound level significantly lower, so it was probably because the Hiby line out is at maximum level as it claimed. Pairing with Bluetooth is also very easy, and the sound is good as long as your source is good.One thing I wish to improve is to eliminate the nearly instant “sleep” mode. Whenever there is no source input for merely a few seconds, the amp will turn into sleep mode with a light click. I don’t think it is necessary, or at least changing this sleep timer longer, say 2 min, would be preferable. Overall, it is a $100 well spent; well, excluding the pair of cubes specifically purchased for this amp and make a very cute tiny office audio setup!
