Super dynamic range with a very low noise floor

I like my music. I have been enjoying music through my Pioneer 9500II and B&K Home systems but wanted something small for a bedroom. I began looking for small integrated component systems that could fill the room with clean sounding music. I stumbled upon the Douk Amplifier and began reading. 300W max and very low distortion. 300 watts doesn't really sway me as you can get some really loud trash, but the .008 THD is what caught my curiosity. RCA Jacks and meters. For the 120.00 dollars It seemed like a worthwhile gamble. I mated the Amp with Polk Elite Series ES10 speakers and had a good Bluetooth receiver (RCA) that I was using on the Pioneer and hardwired C/D player. Its clean. I connect the system together and turned it on. No burn in. No pops. No humming or other sonic distortions. The sound and depth are surprising. I think the unit dwells into the lows a bit steep (warm) but was blown away by the fidelity. The Douk H7. The little 2-pound mini amplifier blows the Pepsi challenge away. Douk has a pre-amp with an EQ that would smooth this unit into Nirvana (pun intended). I was interested to read the THD of the pre-amp. Was it going to muddy the near perfect signal of the H7? Nope. The Douk Audio 5 Band EQ is rated .003%. Even cleaner.To put this into perspective, the Pioneer is rated at .05 %. Now the difference is obviously there is no comparison to the power output of the Douk VS a 40-pound behemoth like the 9500II, but for clean reproduction of fine music you have an option that won't break the bank, and you can build onto.I experimented with my Totem Rainmakers with this tiny little unit and was blown way that they could drive those speakers, albeit not to the decibel levels of higher end big units, but that's the point. Its small and sounds great. And the most surprising aspect of the H7 amp may not be the sound, but its silence.

The Douk Audio H7 Pro is a well-constructed amp with a unique look & smooth sound with lots of punch/dynamics in the mid-bass. The volume knob does nothing the first 3 clicks, this has been documented by various reviews and it is true. Maybe someone from Douk could let us know if that is by design because of the potentiometer being used. The VU meters are fun to look at and can be calibrated to swing wild or not swing at all, they have no effect on sound. The XLR output is "considerably louder" than the single-ended RCA output. Despite these quirks, the TPA3255 inside seems very well-implemented. The unit doesn't get hot, just warm when pushed. I would recommend a 48V5A or 36V6A power supply, which can put out 240 or 216 watts respectively. That will push this amp well, i have used it with Q 3050i floor standers and it really makes them sing nicely with punch. Not many class D amps with XLR's, basically this amp and the Fosi ZA3 and they are similar in power output with around 150 W into 4 ohms depending on power supply. A very decent and under-rated amp in my opinion, and glad I added this amplifier to my Class D collection. The sound quality crushes the quirks.

Sounds good. Works as it should

Not my first Douk audio, I have the ST-01 (great unit) so I am familiar with the quality of their audio product innovation and quality build, this amp is no different! great presentation, easy to read and well written large print English manual! hold the unit in your hand and you it will spell quality ! I love the gun metal grey case and its weight..I connected the unit to my B&W 705 S2 speakers and Plenue HI res music player, I found the sound to be excellent, not as good as my Marantz but as in other really good class a amplifiers, treble was not too harsh and the bass was deep but not boomy, and despite the lack of bass and treble sound adjustments the sound was natural and beautiful to my ears, supplied was a decent 32V 5A power supply which supplied me with ample power for my preferred volume levels, highly recommended amp!
