This tuner is probably the single finest analogue source you could ever plug into a modern Class-D system which is properly integrated with high-passed speakers, and low-passed subwoofers. I kid you not. Even with the included 1-metre whip, the sound quality is beyond amazing, and well into unbelievable territory.
The sanity-challenging sound quality makes even Dub Step sound great - and that is no mean feat. Something no other device has ever achieved for me.
I simply can't say enough great things about the sound. This thing is Serious Business. It makes even the most expensive old-school FM tuners look like toys.
But while the sound may be as close to perfection as it can possibly be, the screen UI is... substandard, to be very kind about it. It looks like it was created for the development engineers in 1996 using HTML TABLES and BGCOLOR and the final software wasn't loaded into the thing before shipping. The conflicting arrows: one set showing Left and Right and the actual buttons showing Up and Down are a defining failure here.
But it simply doesn't matter how awful the UI is - you will absolutely love this thing the instant you hear your first FM station after the very-quick auto scan system (Bound to the mystery "OK" button, no less!) does its job.
This is definitely one time when you will forgive the UI for its sins, simply because you can't believe how good it sounds. And for the price? How is it even possible? o_O
