FAQs
Q: Why is there no sound from the 3.5 mm output when both 4.4 mm and 3.5 mm headphones are connected?
A: The Z1 only supports one headphone output at a time. When both jacks are connected, the 4.4mm output takes priority. To use the 3.5mm headphone output, please make sure the 4.4mm headphone has been disconnected.
Q: Do tone, volume and filter controls simultaneously apply to all outputs on the Z1?
A: Yes.
Q: Why can't I use the microphone or Mix function when using the Optical input?
A: This is normal. In Optical input mode, the Z1 works only as a DAC. All microphone-related functions (such as Mic input, Mix, and Mic Mute) are disabled in this mode. To use the microphone or mixing features, please switch to USB input mode.
Q: Why is there no microphone sound after connecting the AUX input?
A: Please check whether the AUX cable is fully inserted and confirm it is a 4-pole (TRRS) cable. If a 3-pole (TRS) cable is used, the internal microphone circuit will be shorted and the microphone signal cannot be transmitted.
Q: Why does the connection to my phone keep disconnecting or fail to stay recognized?
A: The is usually caused by insufficient power from the PC-USB connection. This may happen when using a phone as the USB audio source or when connecting to a USB port on a computer. Please use a DC 5V/≥2A external power supply for stable operation.
